Any of you lovers of the outdoors going to this expo. I might drift through just to see what is totally unaffordable.

I'd like to have a look around at all the unaffordable toys as well. If we can we'll go on the Saturday.

AndreasR & I went to the show this morning - I had to buy paint stock before the price increase & thought it a great opportunity to pop in.
Managed (easily) to convice Andreas to pull in.

We met outside at about 11:15 which is probably the worst possible time, when we left just after 14:00 it was a LOT quieter.
There were only two halls of stuff, but it kept us busy for over 3 hours.

The Bad:
Queuing to get in.
Queing to buy a Coke.

The Good:
Everyone was there;
Bushlapsa
GT Campers
Conqueror
Camp Master
(in a massive display of all products).
Jurgens
Mobi-Lodge
Nyela
Adventure Campers
(home made)
Lumeno
Dometic
Takla
Etc...

I don't think Front Runner was there.

The Cheapest Trailer was R69000 - the most expensive was around R1.6bar.

The crowds did not hamper the viewing experience.

What we enjoyed:
Obviously our focus was on Off Road Trailers & Caravans, but we looked at these massive Overland Expedition Iveco vehicles (R3 bar)
We basically only ignored the On Road Platkat Kakavaans.
We found most interesting:
Echo
GT Camper
(R260k)
The Badger Off Road Caravan (R330k kitted)

The Bushlapa stuff is nice, but damn it's expensive.

On the Moan & Bitch Forum there was some whining about the price - cost me R25 for secure parking & R120 entry.
That is very good value, cost less than 8L of diesel.

Definitely worth a visit. I'd say go there after lunch...

There were two teardrop trailers there.
That edgy plastic one Edgeout & the Vagabond Rogue.

It's basically a bed in a box with a kitchen in the boot.

Very little packing space.

The one was R189000.

But you have ZERO protection from the elements while cooking.

You'd need to take a Gazebo & erect it over the back for shade will cooking or chilling.

Forgot Afrispoor - they had 5trailers there - also nice.

I think they had the most impressive slide out 'Fridge/Stove/Drawer/Washing area set up.

(Andreas may confirm).

Also Invader was there. Nice easy set up. Crap kitchen layout.

Tuff Cats had a display, bit cheap & nasty, but an option if you are not picky & pedantic.
