So I'm over a braai like most women are with shoes! I like them and tend to collect them!

Came across this nifty little braai that I think will work perfectly for camping...

Very cool! What does such an item cost?

I know MadKon make an awesome braai that fits in an ammo box, but the price is stupidly expensive! I have a small CampMaster stainless steel job I bought at Makro, cost me R500 and also came in a bag

They are expensive - 2k.

I think Madcon is slightly more? Looked at them, but they are just too small.

Edit: Seems Madkon's comes in at over 4k!!!???

Outdoor Warehouse has a nifty little fold up for about R600 last time I looked.

But it needs to be treated with kid gloves, made of very thin stainless.

This is the one I have, yes it may be thin stainless, but it packs up pretty small and lives in my Conqueror for those campsites that do not have braai facilities.

Currently R699

I have one like Wave, it served me well for the past 5 years so far, definitely value for money.

Those little stainless steel braais you get from Makro or Outdoor Warehouse work great. Fold up small and compact, sold with a bag for a few hundred bucks. Ideal to take along on any trip and big enough braai area.

I hate making a fire on the ground and then using a stand to put my grid on and too often the braai provided at campsites is useless so I always take mine along.

The bags they come with are crap though, get a nice thick canvas bag made with reinforcement in the corners

I have the one that Wave, Henri, Andreas & Wessel are referring to...

Only change I made was to chuck a piece of Stainless Steel Expanded Metal (grid), that the late Tgwinduna gave me, on the braai floor to give the coals a little air.
The floor/base has no air holes.
It's thin, but it's only for occasional use.
The bag is thin & it tore on 1st use when it caught on a sharp edge, I'll do as Wessel says & have a bag made.
I think I paid R600 at ODW...

You guys should look after your bags a little better. Happy bag happy life.

Give me a braai for a few days and I'll have bags made up for you. Same guy that did bags for Andreas for his Cruiser.
