Camp venue? 21-24 Sept

Post by Wave »

Hey Webwheelers,

I had previously booked a camping trip for the 21th-24th Sept, but those plans have fallen away, now I need your help please, we are looking for a camp venue, 1:30 - 2hrs from JHB, preferably not on the Polokwane highway as that road is a death trap on long weekends, something for the kiddies to do, pool, jungle gym, allowed to cycle around, we will need 5 - 7 sites (seemingly a big group), Dinokeng only has 3 sites left, so that's left me upset as we really wanted to give it a try after Martin's report, I hate camping at the big places (Aventura, ATKV etc) we much prefer smaller campsites with 20 - 50 sites so not to be over crowded and have to listen to everyone's drunken swearing and music, 4x4 is not a requirement, but if there is a track there or nearby it wouldn't hurt.

Ideas please, and go...

You need to read my post, no ATKV or Aventura...

Thanks Crips, but with the spots booking up quickly, we missed Dinokeng by hours (phoned to check availability, phoned back later in the day to book and all the sites were gone) we took Kurt's advice
