Returned yesterday from a trip following the Molopo River from Mahikeng along the Botswana border to Bray - McCarthys Rest - Loch Maree - Riemvasmaak and then to the confluence of the Gariep(Orange) River and the Molopo River near Kakamas.

The following few reports are focused on the places where we camped.

Tapama Lodge is situated in the little border town of Bray which has a petrol station and a basic store.

The Lodge is a worthwhile stopover. Owners and staff are very friendly. The campsites are shaded by trees and have good braai/ fire making facilities. A good supply of clean water is available. The ablutions are very good with hot water supplied by means of a donkey which works very well. Wood for the donkey is supplied.

There is a really nice pub at the lodge and as stated previously the owners and locals make you feel very welcome.

A very satisfying experience staying here.
