Kroonland 4x4 this weekend

So went out to Kroonland today, on Kaaimansgat. Very nice indeed. The camp is waaay up in the mountains right at the top, in a ravine.
Did a bit of offroading, but left seeing as that camp is in the shade the whole day, making it like minus 5 at midday.
So we booked a nice spot near Botrivier in the mountains. Awesomeness.
Some foties...

Awesome, looks like a very scenic part of the country. Well, I guess anything is better than Gauteng

Was great, not really too challenging though. There are a few areas where you can play, a mud pit/water crossing which I skipped on Sunday. Very rocky in places depending on which route you take, nothing that a good clearance 4x4 won't make easy. The viewpoint has one steep climb, that may be fun in the wet.

The camp site is nice, in that there are clean toilets and a shower, although very basic. The braai area is nice and big.

Worth a visit in my book - the views all round are quite something, if mountains are you thing.....

Thanks for the info, scenic passes and mountains are def my thing, I avoid the mud though
