Waschbank River Lodge

#1

Post by Mad Manny »

This past weekend a group of us met for our annual pilgrimage.
This year the venue was Waschbank River Lodge.

We chose it as it was central, attendees came from JHB, Fochville, Kathu, Kimberly & Donkerpoort 12km away.

It's very close to Gariep Dam & the Forever Resorts Gariep venue.

Very nice venue - was a tad cold this past weekend for camping (-7*C @ 04:00 Friday morning).
Luckily we are a hardy bunch of campers (well, Grips & I were the only ones in RTT's/TTT's - the rest were Kakavanians).

They also have chalets, a nice restaurant & a lovely deck. Views are stunning.

If you ever need a stop over in the area - check it out...

Very Nice Spot. Really enjoyed the outing.

To be honest the cold was not that bad. Maybe the Stroh and Jägermeister had something to do with it...
You will never find me without Stroh or a 4x4 :D
