Amarok Tyres

So my Amarok is now in the garage and although now is not the time for upgrades I am just investigating some options.
The Bakkie came with 19 inch rims with 265/50/19 tyres on.
Keeping the 19 inch rims what is the largest size tyres that is available and will fit?
The current tyres seem small in the wheel arches so it does look like it can go bigger.
Will I be able to put an a 265/65/19.
What brands are available and good.
Currently I have a Pirelli scorpions on.
I will test them in Lesotho later this month but they do seem a lot more road biased.
I know the Bakkie needs a lift for off road but it is so much easier for Mandy to get in and out at this height(much lower than the Hilux), I want to keep the normal ride height.
I wish I could add air lifters just for off road height.
Otherwise I love this bakkie.
It is just to fast to drive like a normal human being.
If you are a bit eager with the loud pedal that scream from all 4 tyres is quite entertaining.

What I would start with is turn the front wheels from lock to lock and check to see what the gap is between the tread and the arch, this normally gives you an indication of what will fit.
Each tyre size up (such as going up from 60 to 65 profile) is about 13mm in radius size up (1 inch diameter).

Congrats on the new bakkie.
The first step would to determine what’s the ideal tyre size. It would be nice if you could fit a set of 18’s over the front calipers.
Then if you don’t want to lift it, which is wise, just try to get the widest AT tyre you can whilst retaining the OD.
Retaining the OD is critical in the absence of low range.

The time has come to action this.
I need a Tyre supplier in PE that knows the Amarok and understands al options.
I lost a Tyre on a gravel road in New Bethesda and have to take a chance to PE without a spare but need to upgrade to more all terrain tyres

Some Goodyear all terrains.

OK so 500km van Graaff Reinet na Knysna met die nuwe Good Year Wranglers. En sover is ek gelukkig.
Bietjie harder ry maar meer vertroue vir off-road
