Okay, so it has independent suspension and no low range , so it's not a proper 4x4...
but.... with 868Nm of Torque do you REALLY need low range?
0-100 in 3,7 seconds.
2,1 bar at a Jeep Dealer near you.....

Of all the performance machines you could buy for R2.1 million...
That goat trying to be a cheetah is the last one I would buy...

lets see....
3.7seconds is faster than any of the above except the RR Vogue - or is my maths failing me here
is that a Gobabis edition RR Vogue you have specs for? and I think you must have got the Manny de Freitas MP special price for compliant Parliamentarian's price on most of those too... mistaken identity...

In Straight line, with no resale value - the Jeep will be the fastest.
But only a complete fool would drop over R2bar on a one trick pony.
Smart money would be on one of the other options...
EDIT: The BMW would probably have equally worthless value after a year...

Well, any one of those will suffer some devaluation.
The other day a friend of mine asked me if I thought it was a good idea to buy a 12 year old Cayenne Turbo with 150 000km on it for 160k .... thats R 2,8million new (not 2,1...)
you can similarly pick up a 10 year old RRS for 130k or so.... thats also 2,8 million new (also a bit more than 2,1million.... )
BMW X7 M50 - well, you can't actually buy the petrol one yet, but it will also be around 2,8 bar and be a good second slower than the Jeep. (see what I did there? you take the little 0-100 in seconds value and take it away from the big 0-100 in seconds value so you can see how much faster the one with the little number is than the one with the big number. We call this basic maths, coming to Portuguese schools sometime soon!)
I'm still wondering about your Vogue that does the 3,4second thing

they too start at 2,8 million for the one with the big engine that still takes over 5 seconds to get to 100km/h....
Frankly, out of that lot, the Jeep seems like a real bargain for the performance and price - and it's a damn nice vehicle that does handle exceptionally well in it's class.
Obviously, you'd prefer to buy 3 Fortuner GD6s because if you add up their top speeds they can do 300km/h between them?
oh wait wait.
A Toyota 86 supercar!

Actually, having just had a quick look to dispute Manuel's rather wrong figures - I see the Range Rover sport - which used to be either the supercharged V8 or the TDV8 - both of which were fair to call 'sport' - now has several cheap options, like a TDV6 motor. now, as brilliant, reliable and durable as those engines are , the stuff of absolute legend, they are hardly 'sport' engines.... Same for the 'Autobiography' badge - which used to mean you'd dropped over 4 bar on some extras, it's now just a cheap trim level with a badge to confuse the school Mommies.
the actual RRS with the SVR motor (upgraded Supercharged V8...) and all the accessories which are 'options' but you can't buy one without comes up to 2,8 bar.
veery hard to navigate. a gilded mouse trap as they say....
Porsche is not much different. you can buy a shopping trolley Cayenne with a silly little motor (still a nice vehicle, make no mistake) but if you want not just the turbo, but the performance Turbo version - and add in the options you have to take - it's 2,8 bar
X70i - again, you get a shopping trolley 3 litre diesel for the same price as the Jeep - but if you want the Petrol engined monster.... guess 2,88 bar with 'optional' accessories.
The Jeep actually comes with the 300k of accessories that others add on. (my error though - it's 2,2bar)
And sure , it's not quite as luxurious as the RR Vogue SVR but it is 50% more expensive....
Even the much vaunted Bentley Bent and gay Touareg only does the 100 in 4seconds at around 4 bar before accessories...
To beat it with a stock SUV you'd need the Lamborghini Urine Touareg which claims 3,6 but apparently it's a Italian manufactured watch they used.... dunno what those cost.
None of them are really my cup of tea - but they are all VERY fast given their size and reasonable road tyres - if you take it that in 1987 the absolute bench mark of performance was the F40 and that was a 4 second 0-100km/h with gummy tyres, super light construction, not even a radio, never mind aircon.... and is pretty useless on a public tar road, never mind a dirt road... these are all beasts.
only the F40 is really going to be worth anything in 5 years time either way.... The Track hawk with the Hellcat motor is a whole heap of good fun for less money that you lose in depreciation on a Top end Porsche, Range Rover or BMW as you drive it out of the dealership...

When it comes to raw power nothing beats the Yanks. None of the Rover v8`s were of British origin. The Germans would have won WW2 if they had Yank V8`s in their trucks.

Then how come the US has not won a war by themselves since they invented the V8 ?

they say there is no such thing as bad weather, only poor choice of clothing.
Likewise, the Yanks believe there are no bad wars, just a poor choice of enemy.
