Bliksem, Nissan is slowly but surely taking a massive knock in Namibia:
https://www.namibian.com.na/82213/read/ ... wer-shifts
"While decreases are across the board, amongst the affected brands, Nissan's sales decreased the most by 72% to 378 units, compared to 1 350 units recorded in 2015, while Ford, Toyota and Volkswagen decreased by 64%, 47% and 37% to 386, 2 630 and 1 030 units, respectively."
What's the situation like in RSA?

I am sure Manny will enjoy this extract:
“We continue to see a pickup in small and cheaper brands like Kia and Isuzu,” she said.

According to the sale figures for SA (June 2019), you wouldn't say SA's middle class is suffering too much...
Domestic sales of new light commercial vehicles, bakkies and mini-buses at 14 495 units during June 2019 had recorded a modest increase of 173 units or a gain of 1.2% from the 14 322 light commercial vehicles sold during the corresponding month last year.

Sorry Reenen
You’re correct. The NP200 is the best selling bakkie in SA.
Hilux is the best selling range, but not the best selling bakkie.
Nissan is the second biggest.

Only because the Dacia has no competition in its "half tonner" class...

Yes... if Nissan combine the sales of the NP200 which has no competition currently, the NP300 and the Navara....
...they still dont match Toyota Hilux figures....
