I saw that review

I really do like the Jimny. But for a family of 4, there is no ways I can justify getting one

I am in the same boat. Would love to own one, but it would be reduced to a weekend drive. I cannot justify the price for a weekend toy.

If I am accompanied by the missus and two little pension-eaters, I would have to hitch a trailer to go away for a weekend. Just does not make sense.

If we could get a LWB 5 door then I could even convince Tammy that we need one, but the 3dr is too small, as much as we like the car, we also need a boot

Lovely little 4wheel drive. My son bought one for his wife, but then she's a wacky Yoga instructor. Just cannot stand that idiot in the video.

Yup.

He complains about the auto box in hills, but then he is fully laden, with a rooftop tent, with a fat passenger, in the highlands of NZ with a shortwheel base 1.5lt 4x4. Of course the autobox will try and keep the revs at optimal range.

ASPW is the kind of guy that will try and explain why a fart smells (and will use 10,000 words to explain it) - most of us know a fart honks, we accept it and move on from there.

ASPW can’t drive & shouldn’t be allowed to review cars

The auto-box can be frustrating at times on steep hills. It will keep it in 3rd and will hover at around 50kph, and refuses to change down to 2nd, even if you manually move the lever.

I’ve never been a fan of autoboxes in small engined cars, especially 4x4s. Manuals are much more friendly to control the revs properly.

Notably the Duster 4WD isn’t available in auto. Also a DSG 4WD wouldn’t work with a small motor.

But they probably have ASPW an auto to test because he might not know how to change gears.

I would not refer to this video as a vehicle review; as is the case with most of ASPW’s videos it is more like a “Day in the life of ASPW”.

ASPW is getting more and more irritating with each new video he posts. I can’t wait for him to go into retirement
