I have no experience with BFG, other than watching other people re-beading them in the dunes. My experience is limited to G/Y Wrangler AT and Hankook MTs. The Kooks outperform the Wranglers in all departments - on- and offroad. I did 80k + km on my set of Hankooks, including a lot of trails (Hex included) without a single puncture, chipped tread block, scratch on the sidewall or be-bead.
From what I gather from the "experts", BFG's forté is also its downfall - tough and very stiff sidewalls causing havoc when deflated for off-road use..

I love Maxxis in the sand. But they failed me in other terrain. Can also say the same of General Grabbers. I know which tyre I will chose with a fully laden Overlander. It is easier to fix a de-bead than a sidewall cut.
Then this thread is about a Jeep with a moerse Hemi which I like

This thread is awesome
I think we need a “superthread” detailing and mass-debating the virtues of the BFG tyre and how it divides opinion amongst discerning off-road aficionados.
One day, when I feel like it, I may start the thread.....
