Mitsubishi Triton 3.2 Auto

#1

Post by Hyades »

Gents,

I need some advise. What are your thoughts on the 3.2 Tritons? Specifically the auto? They look like good value when considering mileage, when compared to the Toyotas & others? I know auto is a bit of a spanner in the works, but I'm really not keen to buy another manual vehicle.

Ideally I would like an Isuzu or new Triton, but I'm not going to spend that money on a holiday/play/weekend car.

What is the real world fuel consumption on the Tritons? Normal driving, offroad, towing?

For the same money you are looking at Hilux v6's, but with double the mileage on, and should be much heavier on fuel...correct?

Thoughts please?

I have had 3 Tritons of which one was the auto 3.2.

4x4 Wise it is the best vehicle I ever owned. Great articulation and the smallest turning circle of all the DC's from that generation made it formidable off road, just lift it 50mm and fit 265/75 tires.

Fuel economy wise it ran between 8.5 and 9km/l and that's not bad for the amount of stuff I had on it.
