It’s just a pity that that rear mod is Ironman. They don’t always get things right.

One thing I’ve always respected about those cruisers is the sheer size & strength of those OEM rear leaf packs. They are pretty serious.

You can use any of the mainstream coils and shocks. I agree on Ironman. There is a set coming running King shocks and coils like this -

ImageThe 76 is slowly notching up some of the more serious trails. No it is not a modified Wrangler or a Jimny but needs to do what it needs to do. Much more capable than many would make you believe it would be. It just ate away Berakah. I took it slowly as usual it just crawl it way up the obstacles.
Cannot wait to rob it from Karin and add serious mods. :D :D

Grips, having watched 4WD Action and seeing how their heavily modded 76’s perform, my advice to you (if I may give a legend like you any advice), is to keep it as is to avoid raising the COG at all.

Your setup, in my opinion, is pretty damn near to perfect for trails and over-landing.

120K km`s between the two Cruisers closing in since owning them. No issues other then the normal services.
Just returned from a trip to the West Coast. Going down at a steady 120 the 79 V6 did 6.4km/l and the v8 7.9.
I am impressed with the v6 as it carried a hefty load. The return trip saw the v6 at 5.1 and the V8 at 6.7km/l. Driving in a head on wind and rain from Upington.

So the V8 D-4D Diesel is better?

Just as I thought.

Grips I've had hunting trips in Luckhoff where the tent iced up on the inside!

Nice photos!
