So the V8 D-4D Diesel is better?

Just as I thought.
Petrol is the Devil's juice while Diesel is like Angel tears...
Each to its own. I am very satisfied with the way the 79 v6 handles hefty loads. When it comes to dune driving that little rev loving v6 has the edge. :D

I must admit, I am at that stage where I am considering trading in my Navara - and the Cruiser (spit spit) is starting to look like good value for money

Time for update. The 76 is on a 100k km now. 79 on 130k km. That means I've added up to 120k km between the two since I bought them.
Have decided to do my own services on both, kicking warranties in the nuts. So far, the only money I spent was on services, tyres and mods.

The 76 is due for a new set of tyres soon. Those shitty BF`s did make it to 90k km. Maybe I am going to fit a set of 33`s or 35`s time will tell.

Overall the 70 series is not everyone's everyday favorite. You either love or hate them. At this stage I cannot see myself in anything else.
We really enjoy them. They have this indestructible feeling around them what I have never felt in any other 4x4.
