I was offered one awhile ago, unfortunately it had no papers. Was thinking of converting the body into a Shorty.
I have an idea to set the track width of the rear axle with stock side shafts to do away with spacers. Maybe I should just build a sample diff and test it.
Will do.
To eliminate spacers, one could cast or machine a new rear hub with only the wheel mating flange closer to the edge (45mm outward from stock) eliminating the load on the studs. The rest stays the same and since the two bearings in the floater are sturdy, I think they will take an offset load. Cheaper than importing a whole fabricated longer housing and side shafts. Plain bolt-on solution that could work.

Build it oom and you can make a nice little business from it. Patent it and sell the rights to Toyota.
I will send you a sample of my U-bolt plate and u bolts I have designed for the rear leafs.
It adds some millimeters to ground clearance under the leaf pack

Thanks oom. There is a market for the ubolt flip kit, seeing that it provides a smooth surface under the springs instead of the four bolts digging in.
Interesting video.
This Trutrack seems like a great option.
Would be interesting to see what the landed cost would be (Rudi).
But, my God, watching ASPW drone on in his irritating, wandering, repetitive, unstructured, laboured style is painful.
He could have said all that in less than 8 minutes, but I had to sit through over 16 excruciating minutes... .
Seems like I may just have gotten my grubby paws on a Trutrack system (should have it early next week). This has not been procured through the normal channels (read much cheaper) so if someone is really interested, let me know and convince me to rather sell this to you than to keep it for myself.
