At some stage you will have to make peace with the fact that bunny huggers got the automotive industry by the balls. The days of proper straight six or V8s are gone.

Plenty of V8s available - Ford make some good ones, but for some reason insist on shoving the piddly little motors in some of their products.

Most 'murican Light Trucks get a proper V8... Ram 2500 up, F250 up, the bigger Chevys....

Decent 4x4s with decent engines:

Grenadier.
Merc G Wagen
Couple of the Jeeps
Defender with the 3.0 6pot
Range Rovers etc etc...

5.0 Liter Supercharged V8 with more than 700 hp.

How does that sound?

Everthing is bigger and better in the US of A - who said V8’s are dead?ImageImage

The more I read about the new Broncos, the more I like them.

20 - 30 years back the average Joe could could get his hands on a V8 or a straight six.

Today, only those in the upper income bracket can afford them (as your list shows). Of this group of elite few, V8 enthusiasts make out a very small portion.

I stand by my contention - it is clear that the motor industry is no longer in control of its own scrotum. 10 years from now, archaeologists will dig up the remains of V8 cranks and pistons - not that I want to see V8's vanish, but its a sad fact of life.
