What vehicle?
Someone I know needs a vehicle & just asked me about what he should get.
Here’s the parameters:
- R150k financed
- must be able to regularly tow a loaded trailer. Not sure of weight but no more than say 750 kg
- must be 5 door
- preferably diesel or with decent petrol consumption
- reliable.
- 4WD with optional low range.
Any ideas?
If it was me then I’d consider a 2.7 Terrano but they are probably too old to finance.

The criteria would make it difficult to find a vehicle new enough to finance through regular institutions.
I refuse to be POLITICALLY CORRECT to impress others - Deal with it

Look at the older model 3.0 Everests. Good vehicles but they don't have a very good resale value so they should be able to get a good price on one. Last of them only sold in 2015 so should be able to get finance on them

Neil
Choices are limited
I hate to even mention this, but a Fortuner might be the only option within that price range. Getting a 4x4 withon it??? I don’t know
Another option is the Trailblazer. But Chevvy no longer exists in SA, so I would be inclined to stay away

The Terrano II is a nice vehicle but there aren't many of them around. They go for about R65000.00.
But I don't know much about these things!
