Just the other day I spotted three different H3's around CT (which to me is a rare feat). One of them had those 20-"odd"-inch wheels on. I always notice them on the road, as I have always admired them.

Saw a beige H1 with foreign plates once in Somerset West, with a petite blond behind the wheel. The H1 looked well travelled and looked awesome on the road.

Ja, LHD markets. When parallel parked, the door opens towards the pavement, instead of away from it. So you battle to get the case of beers in.

Remember these? They also had a lazy design. The vent in the middle of the passenger side dash was for the steering column on LHD Cars.

People always ask on any given Forum what they should replace their current vehicle with.

They normally give their preferences but are given one or seven alternatives by other people

But never, unless I missed it, never have I seen anyone give the Hummer as an alternative.

Why is this?
The Short answer is that the Hummer is a very unique vehicle, so either you like them or you dont, and nobody will convince you otherwise. Dare I say its a vehicle where the vehicle chooses the driver

but in all honesty, the brand has been Discontinued and that puts off the majority of people being scared of service, maintenance repair time etc.

I personally dont recommend any particular vehicle as a replacement for a 4x4, to me its all down to the individual and his preferences, and thats what makes it fun, all of us being different ;)

not liking the H1 is comparable to not liking sex. the only people that don't want one right now are pillow biters

the H2 was built on bastardised Chev chassis - Truck rear half and pick up front half, A bit like a mullet. I think they were made for drug dealers.

the H3 was a rebooked chev silverado - basically a Mommy wagon. but, they did fit some decent running gear. big diffs, 4:1 reduction, decent V8. the slot like windows I never liked, and all the chrome, but its a fairly good off-roader with minor mods.
