That’s interesting. I ran 265/70R16 non-LT on the Discovery and I felt they were perfect for that rig. It drove like a boat on the best of days, but now that you mention this I’m sure the tires didn’t help matters.
They did bag out very well, and I ran them at 1.8 bar 75% of the time and after ~40kkm they still had about 65% tread left.
That being said, they are definitely much lighter than the equivalent Cooper AT3 or BFG was, in 265/60R18.

Unfortunately Tinus hasnt responded.
With all the load shedding as well as having a really-real job, Tinus is ridiculously busy at the moment. But you can also speak with Anthony Forgey regarding obtaining Maxxis.

Courier to Kuruman, drive down, fit them in Kuruman, drive home?
Oh wait..........probably cheaper if you just buy in Windhoek.
And I wouldn't pay that for Coopers. I'd take the Renegades, if I had to stick with your list.
Personally, I've done 100,000kms on Hankook Dynapro and I can't fault them.

Update:
Got a really good deal on the Patriots, works out to N$3200 / tire.
Bit noisier than the Coopers but infinitely more capable, so a good trade off to make.

Patriots infinitely more capable than Coopers. That’s one hell of a statement.

31 and some change. Stuck to stock height and they are a lot taller than the Coopers I took off.

Ahh.
These ones to be exact…
But I think the Radars would give the STMaxx a run for their money.
