Threads been quiet, but there has been nothing of note to report.

Currently at 13000km and the overall fuel use is slowly creeping down to 10l/100km.

First service for me tomorrow. Fuel in town is about 12L/100. long drive is about 10l/100.

Car is a lot smoother when loaded and driving on dirt roads.
I have only done dirt and gravel since RDW, nothing I needed a locker for so no exciting tales to tell.
Winch does what it says, we had a day to play to play with soft shackles and snatch rings a bit.

I do miss a sports mode. The LTD doesnt have that.

Fuel consumption is spot on with what I’m getting, after first 5000km service. Couldn’t be happier, really.

Regarding ride, ever since I put the canopy on (about 75kg), ride has gotten a lot better. Gravel stability is very good on these. Having decent tires also helps, I find those Radars at about 1.8-2 bar are perfect for town driving and really good on gravel and beach sand. No more than 2.2 for long distance.

My Canopy ready for me now (8 weeks to make, gosh), installing Thursday and I am hoping this will smoothen out the ride.
Another 30kg daily drive load in the back should also help.

I am on 2.5 bar as manual recommends. TPMS moans at like 2.3 in cold mornings. I am thinking of setting it to 2.0 and just dealing with the TPMS warnings but that defeats the point of the system saving a tyre.
I really wish I could set the warning pressure.

My work bakkies that never have less than 400kg load and often exceed 1000kg run at 2.8bar.
My work Bakkie, which is often unladen. But can be loaded at times with up to 1400kg, I run at 2.4 bar as I never know when I'll need to oad up. So it's a middle ground pressure.

I run Fearless at 1.8bar.

2.5bar is much too hard Kevin.

2.5 bar is mad. I run mine at 1.8b and ignore the Tyre warnings.

I was shown today by a certain former Jeep owner, that you can set the Tyre Pressures and Temperatures now, after the last round of updates. Will test it out next time I go for a drive.

And did you test? This would be most useful.
Or tell me and I shall go test.

2nd Service done @ 15kkm, with only minor niggles to report.

Passenger side Keyless Locking button on door handle was broken... Cheap Chinese Quality.

Fuel consumption is bang on 10l/100km, although I did move my roof bars to the canopy which seems to have helped a bit.

15 000km service
Nothing interesting to report so I will be uninteresting.

Fuel is about 13L/100 in dense town driving.
10L/100 taking it chilled
11L/100 doing crime on the highway
12L/100 towing at 110km/h
Tyres are always at 1.8 now.

Winch has been used like 30 times. Not sure what I used to do without it.

Bumped the front and rear bumpers on trails without any warping or dents. I drive a bit more confident knowing I dont have much tupperware to ruin.

Manual says 175kmh is the speed limiter but a guy on the bus next to me says it is 170kmh.

Diff locks go on instantly, but rear one takes a second or 2 to turn off even though the light goes off straight away. I turned it off while rolling and tried to u turn and had to stop and back up to let it go off.

The bash plate under the transfer case catches quite a bit on steep break overs but it is strong so also hasnt warped or anything. It is like 10cm away from the case. Sounds and feels ugly when it touches something.

Its 1 year (and 2 month) old... and nothing has fallen off... yet

Going for its 25,000km Service sometime next week, have switched it over to running Liqui Moly 5w30 and its quieted the motor down nicely.

I've also been running a Custom Tune on it, for about 12,000km and it has woken up that little 2l. Throttle lag is completely gone, overtaking power has been greatly improved, Vmax has been deleted and fuel consumption has improved by about 12%. Current Tune is pushing about 155kw and 500NM.

Will updated on here about the canopy build out that I've done in December.

China and India make components for most car manufacturers. Why would they not copy the best and use it in their cars?

Ticked over 20 000km yesterday on the LTD.

I drove a friends New Gen Ranger XLT 2 weeks ago across some roughish dirt track. It felt more planted on the road, but a lot more bumpy ride compare to my truck. I would put that to suspension I did on mine as his is stock standard with no canopy or weight at the time of driving.

Fuel is not the best still. I only really check pump usage when towing.
9L/100 @ 100kmh - pump - towing
11L/100 @ 130kmh - pump - towing
12L combined - OBC
I cant get worse than 14L/100, but cannot get better than 8L/100 no matter what I try. Some guys claim lower on the LTD but I call lies

Power feels better as it runs in. I can overtake quite comfortably at 110 with the trailer, but going uphill, lets just say I will wait for the horizon to try speed up.

The "rock slider" brackets get bend quite easily so getting them reinforced is on my to do list, but they do the job for now. A hard hit is going to bend them into the door though.

Accessory options are easy to come by now. I have no issue finding what I want to customize.

Following the Facebook groups here, and overseas, Aus seems to complain about an overheating issue. Nothing really this side of the world seems to come up but we are still mostly sub 100 000km reports.
The safety features seem to annoy a lot of people but I love them. I can feel a lot more relaxed driving with them on knowing they have my back.

I am still smiling to drive it.
