Having owned 2, I must say the Defender should have had some development since 1984 like the Wrangler and 70 series. Sadly, the Solihull retards had no clue on ergonomics or progress. Therefore, it wasn't a pinnacle, it was a cheap compromise beaten by Yanks and Japs in many ways.

Except for the soft axle shafts, the weak diff Center's, the crap driving position, the horrible hand brake lever, the water ingress, etc?
I have watched a few videos on the Tank stuff, especially the 300 and depending on price, I would be keen to take it for a test drive.
The 500 would be more like my kind of car and it almost looks the same as what I got, but I think it would be out of my price range if it ever made it here.
