SANTAM's FREE Tracking System Offer!!!!

#1

Post by Mad Manny »

SANTAM (awesome Insurance company) sent me a letter via Erin (Awesome Broker) saying I can have a FREE tracking system!

In fact, they said, if I don't have one I can have TWO for FREE.
But as I already have Skytrax, I'll just take the one.

There is a catch though....

The catch is that this amazing FREE offer is only available to those bright enough to have bought either a Hilux or a Fortuner from Toyota (Awesome Motor Manufacturer).

The FREE tracking device is the BEAME from MiX Telematics (Matrix), I think the reason they chose the Beame me is because it is:
Wireless & can't be Jammed, so it doesn't tap into the (Awesome) Toyota wiring.
It's apparently also small & difficult to locate.

I think you get an app that allows you to track your car yourself.

Very useful for finding your Toyota after you have driven it into a dam.

Yes, it's awesome.
And FREE (not sure if I mentioned that part).

Some of us don't go to places where we would prefer not to be tracked...

I have Tracker Skytrax in my fleet.

Years ago I was working at the house of the unhinged, psychotic owner of a specialist short-term broker,
He called one night, screaming & shouting (as he did every day) making false accusations (as he did every day).
On this one particular day he claimed my team leaves 'before 15:30...' everyday..
I mailed him the Skytrax report showing they only started the vehicle at 15:57 & only drove out his Estate at 16:01.

So it's helped with false accusations by client's a few times & also the staff know not to BS me as I know where they are & which route they took.
It's a great management tool.

I'm pretty sure Lexus and Land Cruiser 200 owners will be getting the same love letters from Santam soon, and probably Ford Rangers shortly afterwards.

Discovery Insurance has been offering this amazing new product to their customers free of charge for over 5 years. The way I see it your fantastic Insurance company is playing catch-up.

Paul, Santam has always given a discount if you fit a tracking device.
What is new is they want a 2nd device which must be a Beame.
As far as I can tell Discovery Insure doesn't approve the Beame device.
They have their own device called DQ that they punt...

It's exactly the same little box that doesn't connect to the car's electrical system. It does cost anything to have it fitted and there is no monthly costs. That's what my post was about.

...and I've just received another notification from Santam, for a buggered old Toyota Etios.

4 accident claims in 2 months though, so I suspect there are reasons other than theft, for Santam requiring tracking.
