OK, since we can spend a bunch of time discussing useless subjects like "Who uses their tech", what about discussing our dream vehicles?

Mine:

First Place: Merc W461 Gelandewagen with an OM606 TDi.
2nd Place: Nissan Patrol with a BMW M57 and front and rear lockers.
3rd Place: Toyota LC76 with the 1HD-FT and lockers.

I would humbly settle for this fella:

But then again, my wife would start complaining about my diminished reproductive capabilities...

Fair trade I reckon.

I thought I wanted a 406 but maybe a little late in life for doing a new drivers license......

1: Land Cruiser. I get this. It's like a Patrol, but for chicks...
2: Mogs: They're awesome. But I'd prefer to get places a little faster. And apparently they are a little wider than your average 2-spoor road. No issues, you make your own...
3: Grenadier. I'm actually a closet-defender fan. The original one - not the pretender. Not that I ever want to possess one, but I agree with the fanbois in that that do have soul. However, as much as the Grenadier looks pretty and seems to check all the boxes, I'm yet to be impressed with their longevity / attrition rate. Not that the original Defenders were renowned for theirs... :)

Hmm, I think it might still be a supercharged Nissan Patrol 4.8

Luckily I've rubbed the Defender itch.

I'd own another one if they weren't now stupidly expensive.
The mods or features I'd consider mandatory:

- Puma dash so that the aircon doesn't only freeze your knees
- Relocated hand brake lever away from your left calf
- Relocated seat rails so that you don't HAVE to drive with the window open to have space for your right shoulder
- Madman EMS
- A decent Japanese DI turbo diesel
- Front and rear lockers

Maybe not. If a Lotus 7 with a Toyota engine is too much for you to repair......... ;)

The only 4x4 you need is one that is paid off, and you actually use! Full tank of gas is all I need...

If a Fortuner is the pinnacle of your 4x4 wishes, then none of us can help.

Haha! Hey!
From what I understand, the supercharged ones have been ok. Its the turbo ones that have been a little 'difficult'.
