6.2 on an open road trip is poor.
My 320d, probably a 2006 or earlier model (can't recall) got 5.4L/100km (18.5km/L) on a trip, 3 up plus some luggage, to Bloem and back to watch the Boks play Wales....

That 1.5l 85kw motor has to work a lot harder than a 2l 120kw motor…

Fully agree with you. But for what it is, that K9K motor is a peach.

So.. that OBD computer lies…

Pump to pump, the Duster did 5.5l/100km.. or 18km/l…

If it was a hybrid it would be 19,2km/l and not 18km/l :lol:

So let me get this straight: You want to buy a R500k car @ R10k per month excluding insurance to save R6k per month in petrol?

No.

I bought the car cash for R413K. (Well. I actually swopped the FJ for it), to save R3K per month on fuel.
The insurance is cheaper than the FJ.

I think my maths are pretty good
