Shane, the XJ looks reasonable, would be an option for sure. The yanks also sell tons of mods for those, even a 4-link rear suspension kit.

The S2A 88 inch? Let's just say I've scratched the Series Landy itch, and unless that thing has a coil and disk brake conversion, I'm not interested.........

The quick response is get a 4.5 Patrol and be done with it. Its very easy in my eyes really.
The added advantage over the jeep is you would actually be able to fit stuff in the Patrol as well, like beer kegs, etc etc.

BUT, thinking about branding and being eye catching, I think a GQ Patrol would be more eye catching. Lets be honest, the GU patrol is a rather plain shape.
I GQ, with a nice lift and 33's or 35's, you'll catch eyes, before you even get the branding on it.

The GQ was only available in TB42.........no TB45. 35" and 129kW?

But I like the idea. I also prefer the "Super Safari" look. Although the interior and dash looks like a 1987 Skyline.

Well, there were some that came with the TD42t as well, but you'll never find one.
That TB42 is actually a great motor, revs nice and freely.

I might be talking nonsense now, so do the research, but Im quite sure that they are easy to turbo charge as well. I think theres one or two guys with turboed ones on the forum. I THINK.

Correct. There are several turbo-charged TB42's. Like the TB48, they are apparently relatively easy to turbo-charge. Much easier that turbo-charging a 4.5 at any rate...

Hmmm..........

So did a quick Google. CR is 8.3:1? That will take a mild turbo very easily.
All of the ZA versions were EFI? TB42E?

And I know about the RD28 version..........hence my first post...........

No recent updates, so not sure. Was still on heavy painkillers, physio, rehab etc a while back. Not able to sleep, no nerve regeneration, permanent nerve pain. I'm not tight with him, so not sure how it's going now.

He told me to rather not do a conversion from the TB45, but I know that he always goes OTT on his conversions. Just look at his Y61 double cab......

As far as Im aware, the majority of them are carbs.
I think theres maybe one or two EFI's floating around (One thats already turbo charged actually)

Carbs are more difficult to turbo. MUCH more difficult. I'll give that a miss then.

If you need to turbo a NA motor - you bought the wrong NA motor...
