@Shane: a Gladdie with Dana 44s would be epic. Sadly, very scarce these days

@Ricoffy: would consider a Second Gen SWB with the 4M40 maybe, even 3.0 6G72 would be fine for a weekend toy.

@Grips: please, I'm not looking for a drag strip vehicle. Yes, you have a V8 in a 60 series, blah blah. The Y60 and Y61 were offered with the RD28 and the TD42, among others. The RD28 is a high revving low torque OHC engine that can't pull the skin off a custard. Yet people still get decent performance out of them and they are CHEAP. The TD series are all IDI as we know, yet I ran one for years at over 16psi. Bfreesani runs his on chip and gearbox oil.....I don't need or want HPFP shyte in my vehicle so we are in agreement on the ZD30. The QD32 is the DI mechanical pump version of the TD series and was a bored and stroked TD27. Used in the Cabstar truck. 110kW and 330Nm in stock form. Same figures as the TD42. But as you know: no substitute for cubic inches.........we can debate this, but I just want something reliable that isn't as gutless as a TB42. I'd keep a TB45 as I said, considering it might even have enough power to reach the speed limit. I had 2 x Defender V8s: nothing as sad as watching your fuel gauge drop like a stone and you can't maintain 100km/h on a small uphill.

Instead of branding a 4x4 for the pub, brand the pub for the 4x4... Here are a few suggestions

Brew a dark beer (Stout) with as low as possible alcohol content. Call it "2-Stroke". You can drink as much as you like without the alcohol working
Another one. An easy to drink lager to be called "Ford Turbo". This should be the cheapest offering, and drinking one will be referred to as "popping".

The Jeep looks fairly good. New tyres, interior not bad.
