So our local Nissan dealership brought one of the new Pathfinders to our office for a sneak peak (ST-L)
3.5L V6 that doesn't sound that bad at all.
Interior looks good (huge improvement over the Navara, but again doesn't take much)
Not a bad looking vehicle. The one the brought was a Scarlet Ember (fancy word for red, so I no longer identify as ginger but as Scarlet Ember)
9-Speed auto. Cannot comment, wasn't allowed to drive it
Price: Salesman recons 4x2 will start at about $60'000 (ST spec, the one we saw will be around $65'000 for 4x4). For comparison the 2.8 4x2 Fortuner is $55'000, Isuzu MUX $50'000 and Ford Everest $58'000 (for the new F150 looking one). Not the best starting point but it seems decently specced.
Don't think it is a bad vehicle. Looks the part and Nissan has quite the loyal following here in Kangarooville. Plus the V6 will not be that big of an issue here. Current fuel prices. Unleaded $1.69 p/l, 95 Octane $1.78, 98 Octane $1.86 p/l. Compared to diesel @ $2.09 p/l.
An all New Bakkie-Based SUV has arrived!!!
