A few weeks to go before I make SAXJ post "I'm sorry Manny, I was wrong & you were right"...

Stay tuned...
I never said that you were wrong, I said I would believe it when I see it. At this point there is still no actual evidence of a 5 door.

One wonders if the Jimny's produced in India will be of the same quality as those produced in Japan?
It would be good if the Indian produced Jimny's are a different color as those made in Japan. That way we will know they are made in India and we won't wave to Indian made Jimny's.
I have my doubts. The indian made Swifts only have a 2 star Euro NCAP rating. Whereas the Japanese ones have a 3 star rating for the base models and 4 star for the high spec models.

It's all but confirmed that:

The Jimny 3 door will get a facelift.
A Jimny 5 door will be launched.

The 5 door will probably get a Turbo motor, probably the1.4 Turbo.

It's not clear if the 3 door will get the Turbo motor.

Some mild Hybridisation is likely.

This (turbo motor & mild hybrid) will allow Suzuki to reintroduce the Jimny to the Eco European countries.

There is avery small chance the US could get it - but I doubt it.

A five door Jimny.

Might just take the roll-over title from Fortuners.

Where did you get your "facts" from?

*It's now a 5-door, so IMHO it must be compared to SUVs and Crossovers.

If it is placed in that category, it will be regarded as more prone to roll overs (much more)

That 300mm difference in length and 100kg in weight will make no difference.

Ricoffy, I could agree with you - but then we'd both be wrong...

So, back in August 2020 I predicted that a 5 door Jimny would come (see post #1), it is now all but confirmed.
I expect official confirmation from Maruti Suzuki India by March.

I suspect the 5 door will be launched with the new facelift (mainly a new grill) & (hopefully) new forced induction mild Hybrid motors that will also be included on the 2 door...

2022 will be an exciting year for the Suzuki Jimny...

I'd like to explore the evidence for this. I suspect there is none.
