It's still not a 5 door. It's a LWB 3 door.

The first 184 Jimny 3 door models produced by Maruti Suzuki India at the Gurugram Plant have been exported (to South America).
These are the first new Jimny's to be produced outside of Japan.
ALL the Jimny's produced at Gurugram will be exported.

There is a 2nd plant in India which hasn't started production yet.
The Jimny's from this plant will be for Indian consumption.

I believe they will be 5 door & will be branded as Maruti Gypsy...
I thought the Jimny will be 'assembled' in India, not produced.

I think the first units were brought in (to India) as CKD.
But they will obviously be produced in India - otherwise what is the point...?

ImageLooks like a LWB Jimny is on it's way? Then a 5 door is a strong possibility.

One wonders if the Jimny's produced in India will be of the same quality as those produced in Japan?
It would be good if the Indian produced Jimny's are a different color as those made in Japan. That way we will know they are made in India and we won't wave to Indian made Jimny's.
