Agree 13G for draws is too much ...
and also their drawers too heavy ,
... like many welders they use 3mm angle iron, plate etc because its easier to do the job
but innappropriate to the product
... too heavy.
But their roof-racks are good though lead to exponential demand for add-ons like jerry-can and water tanks and holders and ... and ... and

In these economic times it might pay to keep a close eye on the second hand market for the items you are looking for. I have seen a lot of stuff for sale at good prices.

... One river trip I went on a guy with a 90
had two ‘ammo box towers’ built just inside the back-door... Each tower or chest 3-boxes high,
and as drawers sliding out (... or pull-out) into the middle area...
So total 6 ‘drawers’ storage with still more available space left behind as far as the back of the seats and in and along the aisle.
Framework for his drawer system was thin
(1.5mm ?) angle iron.

... Point being to pack-store up using vertical
space rather than necessarily across full floor area with platform on top of drawers etc
and avoid excessive weight.
... Unused wasted space is normally in upper
canopy area...
I have normal FR ammo-box drawer system and 90% of time only need access 2 ammo-boxes !
... but still need other two.
Say 1 for grocery stuff, 1 for braai, cook
1 for recovery gear, 1 for other, general.

... I think BushLapa are one of better caravans
and thats what I’d get if I changed from Trailer with RTT.
Ideal is to set up car as basic self-sufficient
camper on its own and ... to have trailer/caravan as ready to go full comfort additional-option esp if wife also camping.
