SAXJ is about to get his.

But he is not posting about it here...

Perhaps he bought it with a balloon payment & mileage parameters & feels its more fitting to post on the appropriate forum...

There isn't much to tell.

The first ones are at Suzuki HO in Linbro Park.

I'll get to drive one Off Road before the launch, I'll give feedback then.

The latest date I have now heard for the launch is 10 Nov, original date wa 2 Nov.

I got to drive all 3 versions of the Jimny today. Wow it is fantastic. We drove from Linbro Park to Meyerton. Peg the cruise control on 130kph on the clock on the auto and it stayed there. It changed down once on the entire trip.

The GA spec is a little bare bones, but I think still a very worthwhile buy.
In terms of what the current Jimny has, you lose;
the radio,
electric windows,
electric mirrors.
You gain;
traction control,
esp,
hill hold,
hill descent control,
a way more powerful motor,
much better fuel consumption. Plus there are little extras like external temperature, fuel consumption and range displays, and triple flick on the indicators. The GA also has a single piece rear seat back with no head rests.

The GLX gets a whole heap of luxury kit;
climate control,
auto LED headlights,
fog lights,
electric windows,
electric mirrors,
Smartphone linked touch screen radio and usb port,
the boot box,
plus mag wheels.

Tyres are 195/80R15. The GA has Dunlops on, the GLX has Bridgestones.

There are a few A/T's available in this size, but no M/T's that I could find.
Plus point.... They are the same size as used on the Toyota Quantum, so no matter where you are you should be able to pick up a spare if you lose a tyre.
Minus point....The tyres are the same size as on the Toyota Quantum, so theft may be an issue.

Good to note is that 215/75R15 is only 1.5% bigger than 195/80R15, so easy upgrade with little loss in power and still well within manufacturers limits.
As we know, there are lots of choices in this size.
