This were only one of several photo`s taken. No intend to make the dune looking steeper. The aim was to get some nice pictures of the Cruiser.
Knowing you Jakes maybe start a thread and show us some of your 4x4 photo`s.

We got an a small side line project that started in early November. With all our business vehicles allocated to other more important projects we were sort of in a catch 22 situation regarding vehicles. Decided to give up my business vehicle for a month to finish this project.

The 79 V6 Cruiser became my way of transport for the past month. Driving it everyday reminded me why I love N/A petrol engines.
With 170kW on tap the V6 is lekker. Really enjoyed driving it the past month.

Bearing replacement done on 76. When I bought the 76 the Toyota bearing service interval bothered me. I phoned a very good friend Piet Hoffman one of the leading tribologists in the country.
He told me that they have done several tests with wheel bearing grease on Sishen mine and that Total Ceran HV grease came out the best. Total Ceran does have a Calcium Sulfonate soap and can withstand extreme pressure, water resistant and high temperatures
My son Ignus worked on a fleet of mining Cruisers and they did wheel bearing inspection/replacement only every 100k km using Total Ceran Grease.

On the first service I went with Total Ceran. Now 100k km later I did a bearing replacement. Found the bearings still as good as new. Even the old grease still looks fresh after 100k km.

For those who do not know what a Tribologist is, it's the polite way of saying 'Grease Monkey'....
