Maybe Isuzu have been building really decent quality bakkies for long enough that they can fine tune the setup and make it work, or ZA spec will have leaf springs...

The MOG has been running on coils since it's inception and Chevy used rear coils on the C10 in the 60s. The older VW Busses with torsion bars had better suspension than the later ones running on coils anyway.
