Once you get past all the cooling issues on a Defender Puma, the spud shaft to the transfer case fails.

In that vein, is tequila considered ethanol injection?

I bought a non turbo TD42 patrol. It had 222k km on the clock. I added a turbo after about 1 year or 2. And around 272k km. I'm now at 400k km.
Key to keeping it from getting hot is a properly working cooling system. An appropriate sized intercooler and correct tuning. My car doesn't get hot. Normal cruising temps with the aircon on sit around 78 degrees. Towing the fully loaded camper trailer is around 83 degrees.
Max temp for the last few months was 100 degrees driving back from river trip (still loaded( up Modjadjies kloof at 100-110km/h GPS speed.

But Reenen should know not to argue with Allknowing Grips. The fact that Reenen has turbo'd more TD27 and TD42 IDI engines than anybody else on this forum doesn't hold any merit to him.

Thanks for the Allknowing compliment  Also I see no reason to argue with Reenen.

Also I go out on numerous 4x4 trips with lots of different 4x4`s. I see things happening around me.

I don't understand this Thread:
Turbos to make it go.
Bigger Intercoolers to keep it cool.
EGT's to monitor?

None of this makes sense to us Toyota drivers.
We get in and drive.
Simple...

Quick question Manny. Is your Toyota mapped?

There are more mapped Toyotas on the road than stock.
