Wessel ... it looks a nice set-up. Well done.
I'm very surprised you seem to fit 6 ammo-boxes and they lie sideways ... !
I cant do that in my 130 because of wheel arches ...

These are smaller than the normal ammo boxes, they are called cub boxes.

Wessel I see you mounted your MPPT in the engine bay.
The supplier discourages this as the underbonnet temperatures get too high. Don't recommend more than 65 deg.
What are you experiencing so far?
Cheers

A 40 degree room could easily mean a 60+ degree charge controller.
Perhaps try cooling it with a fan.
There is no override for the temperature protection de-rating. It’s to stop the unit from failing or worse.
It’s rare you will find an electrical appliance that is happy operating at more than 60 degrees for years on end.
There is also your batteries to consider, they are designed to operate closer to 25.
That charge controller is small, I would consider mounting it on the otherside of the firewall...

Thanks Henri and Manny
When using the Victron with Solar, I’ll keep the bonnet open.
I did not know about this but I’ll keep it in mind thank you.

I mounted Michael's in the rear left panel of his PS load area because we were concerned about this.
We were also concerned about the size of and length of the cable to charge the battery in the load bay.
But it seems to work fine. So far.

Wessel, where is your dual battery?
Engine bay or loadbay?

Just be careful. The temp limitations could be related to any condition and not only operational i.e. while you traveling even though the unit is not connected.
Just saying.

We plan to be away for 2 months June July but I can definitely work this in during that period. Early June or late July will work 100.
