LC 80 GX drifting

#1

Post by rudie6366 »

My Land Cruiser 80 all of a sudden started drifting across the road. 4x4 Mega World says OME coils and Ironman shocks are fine. Replaced off centre bushes on running arms, and tierod bushes with no success. Did not change the tyres and wheel alignment done. Any ideas (except for replacing the car :D)

Tell us more about the tyres.
What size?
What mileage?
What is the date of manufacture?

What is the mileage of the vehicle? Any wear on steering box, steering shaft UJ's, Pitman arm ball joint(s), steering box mounting bolts tight, etc ?

All those appear to be in order. Got quotes on BF's. They are standard 275/70 R16's. Will replace those first. You confirm what others also asked. Maybe it will solve the problem. Will let you know. Thank you for your reply

Did they check the caster angles after installing the off center bushes? Drifting do relate to caster that is not with in spec.
You will never find me without Stroh or a 4x4 :D

Hey Rudie.

You are welcome to bring that vehicle to me and let me have a look.
There must be a setup issue.
Take care.
