Reading the Forum - How do you do it?

How do YOU read the Forum?

Guys like Kurt, Michael, Wave & I (& the other originals) who are founders/mods/admins probably read it differently to you guys.
I'm especially interested in how newer members attack it.

This is how I do it:
Having been here from the start nearly two years ago, I have read every post.
On PC: I log on & click on 'New Posts' & read those.
If I click on 'New Posts' & it says 'No suitable matches found', then I click on 'Quick Links' & click 'Unread posts'.
On Tapatalk: The feed comes up with the latest posts in order & I just read until I get to posts I've already read.

Obviously, in time, the volume of new posts will increase to a level where I can't keep up & I'll have to cherry pick the posts I want to read & ignore the rest.

But what do you guys do, a guy joining now will be faced with 22000 posts, he can't possibly read them all, so what does he do?

I use Tapatalk and go to the “Unread” tab and read everything (well, some posts I just click and exit because of too many ... zzz zzzz ... zzzz ... etc.)

I very rarely use my laptop to log in

Be interesting to see who reads on Tappatalk & who uses a laptop or device.
I use both, Tappatalk while waiting to kill time, quick visits. PC at night for posting & catching up.

I never use Tappatalk. Smaaaaak it niks.

Depending on where I am I use my phone, iPad or desk top. No preference they all work well.

Generally I just click on New Posts.

Tappit Talk.

First check "New Posts".

If the forum is on the quiet side - move over to "Unread".

Quick and easy.

On the PC I log in automatically when I click on the link on my home screen. Check "New Posts" first because I've read or at least looked at each post since the forum started. If there are no new posts I scan the list of threads for any that have "Red" icons. The new posts that I'm interested in reading get closer attention and I scan the others.
On the mobile device I don't use Tapatalk. Don't like the way it operates. I have auto login on my mobile too. Do basically the same in checking for new and unread posts.
I log in to the forum regularly to see what is happening here.

I use Tapatalk 99%.

I also 99% log on when I receive a notification via my e mail.

I will then check for new posts.

The 1% is when I happen to be browsing on my laptop. Sort of hate laptops because most of my work is sitting in front of a laptop.

Normally read & write to forum on my cellphone
... and generally read all the new comments
oldest first ...
I often want to find old threads or comments but its tiresome ... we need more forum sections ...
We have 200 Tech Topic threads and
we have 280 Chatter threads.

Tappets are for engines not forums.

I'm not big into techno goodies ( old school ) so to my surprise I just found out about the new posts.

Were you using Tappatalk or going in direct on a PC?

Mainly use Tappit talk and these days only get to read the forum when Manny send me a link. With the kids and new job I only get to read the forum from the bog.

I am not very fond of Tap a Talk. Prefer to read formus and stuff from my PC.
Just love typing on a proper keyboard. When I log in via the PC I scan the topic dates to find new posts.
You will never find me without Stroh or a 4x4 :D

Quick links, then unread posts. Scan for topics that may interest me. Open in new tab., Then mark all as read.
