I agree with the sentiment in paragraph 2 of post 7 but only partially agree with post 6.

And this makes following the discussion im-phornicating-possible (Manny says we may not say "phuck" on the forum (with acknowledgement to Apoc)) ImageImageImage

I tend to quote, because on a busy thread, if someone posts just before you, then your reply doesn't make any sense.

Sorry. I am guilty of this. However, since must of my posts are amusing (to me anyway, if they aren't amusing to you, GFYS), I need the thread context that I am replying on. In cases where there obvious spelling or grammar errors (so-called 'Frikkie Kemps'), quoting allows them to stay there for posterity. Even after the poster has corrected these.... :)

Some guys always hit the "Quote Post" button when posting.
This means their post contains a quote.

Others quote the post immediately above the post they are making - which is just plain silly.

Please, only quote a post if it is absolutely necessary.

I have been deleting the quoted post - where applicable, but I'm just going to start deleting the entire post...

There is very seldom a need to quote a previous post - in 90% of cases it's unnecessary...
