Hi Rechard, from time to time guys contact me saying they want to arrange something.
They then ask for my assistance, which I reluctantly offer.
The problems is, when the arrangements go tits up - I land up looking silly.

This has occurred a few times & lands up wasting my time.

A recent example was a 4x4 day where I gave my input & guidance.
Then the 'organiser' asked me to start the Thread.
This is something I'm very reluctant to do - the organiser must launch the Thread.
I deliberately stalled - & then they cancelled the event.
I would have been VERY, VERY pissed off if I had launched the Thread.
Like 'chuck the person off the Forum' level of pissed off.

In the case you are referring to, Bugger is trying to arrange something.
He ran into issues with the venue.
He then ran out of time.
And as Woolf pointed out - he will get onto it when he returns.

But yes, I'll not involve myself publicly again.
"No one ever got stuck - in mid air!"
