Does anyone know the Ribbokkloof 4x4 venue?

Its 250km from the West Rand & 180km from Pretoria out between Middleburg & Dullstroom

http://ribbokkloof.co.za/

It's a tad pricey as they charge:
R100 per adult
R35 for children under 12yrs
FREE for children under 6yrs
as a DAY fee then another;
R150 per vehicle for the trail.

So a family like Kurt's (2 adults, 2 kids under 12) is over R400

As it's a tad far for a day trail, you'd need to stay over.
They have Chalets & Camping.

Camping is;
R80.00 per stand per night.
Then an ADDITIONAL charge of R100.00 per person per night.
Children under 12yo are R40.00 pp per night
Children under 6yo camp for free.

So again, using Kurt as an example;
R80 + 2x R100 + 2x R40 = R360pn.

So a weekend with the trail would be 2x R360 + R420 = R1140.00

But it looks like a nice venue & it's atrail I haven't done.

I'm running out of new venues for my Ultimate Trail Master 100 Trail challenge - I'm on 82...

Anyone been there or interested in going?

Looks very nice, but still across borders? I have read on News24 that comrade minister might push Gauteng back to Level 5 lockdown

Go and negotiate a group discount of R250 per vehicle per day (regardless of passengers) for a min of 10 cars.
Come back and report to me.

I'd like to go when our finances have recovered slightly. I'd possibly look at staying 2 night (Friday to Sunday) to make the most of the experience.

I have Sable Ranch in July & Koranna Getaway in August - so this would be September.
Provincial borders should be open & the silly little restrictions to stop the spread of Kryptonite should be over.

PS: The minister should squeeze a tube of AquaFresh out on the counter, then try get it back in the tube - she stands a better chance.

I have been there twice, for my birthday two years running during June, it is piss cold, but I did enjoy the place, they have a sort of river section where you enter and exit the river bed a few times, then you have a beautiful scenic trail, more like a eco trail with some challenging sections, overall I enjoyed it we, would be in for sure..

Yeah I think the second Youtube video link I posted shows the river trail.
