I've stopped doing the full reviews, but I will post interesting snippets from time to time.

CAR Magazine March 2020

Test of the Jeep Compass 2.4 4x4 TrailHawk:

It has a 2.4 motor producing a low 129kW & a very low 229Nm
By comparison the Mazda CX-5 2.5AWD puts out 143kW & 258Nm
The RAV4 2.5 AWD has a class leading 152kW & 243Nm which places it's torque figure between that of the Mazda and Jeep.

The Jeeps competitors (CX-5, RAV4 & Tiguan) are all better built too.

CAR rated CX-5 1st, RAV4 2nd & the Jeep last.

Not surprising Jeep's don't sell here...

BTW: You can get a JAC Double Cab 4x4 brand new with a 5year 150 000km warranty for R400k
A Mahindra S11 4x4 Auto Double Cab is R415k.

To be honest I have never ever driven a JAC or any Mahindra product in my life.
Does one need to?.
You will never find me without Stroh or a 4x4 :D

Not my style either, but, I think it's value for the money you pay. Look at Hyundai when they came out. Everybody pulled their noses up at it, and look what a fine car it turned out to be.

Since when does "Just-Ask-Cobus" make double cabs?

I thought he was an Amarok guy.

Or at least one of the 6 Cobuses...

That Jeep is kak value for money. No further discussion needed.

However, I'll bet that with the TrailHawk 4x4 system, it will outperform any of its rivals on a 4x4 course - even with Wayneman behind the wheel.

One actually has to get sold second hand to make the list.

Used Jimny's seem to sell for close to what the seller paid for it new.

Not even close. One has to factor in the costs of back surgery and set it off against the selling price.
