On Facebook it is 4x4 Afrika but it’s not a electronic mag by the looks of things - it mentions Spar and checkers and another as distribution outlets....

I also believe Andreas’ overland partners Ultimate Adventures have now also associated themselves to 4x4 Afrika

So Mary & Anton Willemse run the show.
Justin is the Editor, then they have Contributors like Trygve Roberts, Simon Steadman and Bernie Williams.
OK, into the issue, which is only their 2nd:

It costs R49.00 Rand, CAR Magazine is R49.90
It Issue 2 has 82 pages, CAR December 2020 has 170.
So on a pages per Rand basis, it's expensive.

OK, lets get into it.

The Editor Justin writes his Foreward, it's OK. Subscribing gets you 25% off the cover price.

New Prado (basically the 2.8GD replaces the3.0 D-4D.
Update to the Mahindra Pik Up's.
Facelifted Pajero Sport.

Then do a Gear Review of a few new Gadgets: A R14 Garmin, New Mags, aR20k drawer system from Big Country, Binoculars, ONCA Rock Sliders, a compact Sun Woofer & the Snomaster Ice MakerR3k. Grips needs one.

Then an 8 pages Test of the Uprated Hilux, but it includes details of the Black Leopard Mountain Lodge.

Then a 10 page article by Simon Steadman on a trip he did to the Kalahari.

Next up, Singer & 4x4 Trainer Bernie Williams takes the Amarok Canyon to the Easter Cape & the Ben 10 Challenge.
The 4x4 AG did 4 of the Ben 10 passes on our Ten Passes Tour.
The Canyon doesn't really offer much over a normal V6 Amarok.

Anton & Natasha Schutte go to Zim -10 pages. They use a LC76, so they know their shit!

Cell phone photography.

Salad Recipes.

Then Reader Corlize Viljoen takes you Canoeing on the Boteti River over 7 pages.

Angus Boswell covers Mods & your Warranty. That's probably the article of most interest to many of us. 4Pages.

Alex Cock goes camping in the Cederberg. 4 page article.

Then Tryvge Roberts discusses the Bastervoet pass, the 4x4 AG did it on our Ten Passes Tour. 2 pages.

Then some Overland packing tips, good article for the noobs.

That's it!

Nice long articles, big photos, glossy pages.

It looks very polished & professional.

Lets keep an eye on this new addition.

Remember, Covid killed many magazines & publications, like Drum & Leisure Wheels.
So this new magazine is a brave new venture.

I encourage you to support it.

I've had a complaint that one of the articles is a repeat of an article, by the same writer, in a previous edition of SA4x4.

Some of the editorial team are ex SA4x4.

Hopefully this is just a start up thing and they'll start producing original and up to date content themselves...

Seems the repeat article was similar, but not the same - so not really a repeat...

It also depends on the rights of the article if it was sold with exclusive rights or open rights. A freelancer will obviously want the most returns from his/her article either to the highest bidder at top price or two multiple agents at an ok price...
