Does it still make sense to buy a new 4x4?

Mmm Manny van Rensburg, sounds about right. Had me dumb-struck; living on a farm second vehicle a X5, family members borrowing, etc.
Spooky !

Mhh Damn

Shall I say it.....
I miss my Hilux.........some ...days.

The v6 is an absolute fantastic daily work drive. I am so much more comfortable and safer due to better electronics android auto etc.

I spend about half of my workday behind the wheel and the less backache is worth every cent.

( getting more speeding fines are not)

I never thought I would be more concerned for the Amarok than the Hilux, but I am.

Only used the Amarok once off-road in this time and every time I look at those scratches I regret it.

Mhh so for now I am even more of a keyboard off-roader.

I do wish an old Hilux or a Cruiser or Patrol was in the garage for Saturdays.

Then again I have worked 4 out of the last 5 saturdays and every sunday so 4x4 ing is a pipe dream.
