Isuzu x.x0 Double cab 4x4

I am busy trading the Jimny for a bigger vehicle and I am looking at 2 variants of the Isuzu DC. Both 2015 models, one is a 2,5l while the other is a 3.0l. Both have slightly more than 140000km on the clock. 3l is R30000 more expensive.
The 2,5 have a difflock that is not engaging (will be repaired by dealer) and the 3l has a burning clutch (which is being repaired by the dealer). The 3l has a slight hiccup/stutter while driving and feels rough compared to the 2,5l. It pulls like a train though...
The 2,5l has worn tyres which is being replaced by the dealer and still pulls almost like a train

.
I have a feeling the 2,5 is in better shape mechanically than the 3l. But the 3l is SO nice to drive
Head says 2,5 Heart says 3l...
What would you do???

I would personally look around for another 3.0 in better shape.

Kurt is right - they both sound like abused options.
Definitely go for the 3.0, the 2.5 only produced 85kW back then...
I drive a 3.0 120kw KB5 daily - goes like smoke & uses very little fuel.
What is your budget?

Budget is R300000 max. The dealer with the 2.5 is offering above book value for the Jimny. The deal seems not bad, they are already replacing the tyres. And are fixing the difflock that is not engaging - the indicator was just flashing (could just be a leaking vacuum hose or a broken sensor wire).

The deal seems more desperate (from the dealer's side) than good.
Hold off just a bit longer. If you can't, take the 3.0lt

It sounds more and more like the dealer is VERY VERY desperate to get rid of them because they are pieces of shit. I would walk away.... no dealer is prepared to do so much for a sale, unless the vehicle they are selling came in as an absolute bargain (goedkoop koop is duur koop)

I want to test drive that 3l again after they fixed the clutch.
The 85kW version didn't come standard with difflock and this one has it in. According to motoring sites this will then be the 100kW version from 2015.

In late 2015 Isuzu only offered ONE model of 2.5 D/Cab 4x4 - the LE.
It sold for R430k. You are correct - it had 100kW & 320Nm up from the 85kW & 280Nm of earlier.
BUT, the 3.0 had 30% more power (130kW) & nearly 20% more grunt (380Nm)
You are glossing over that the 2.5 was LE trim & the 300 was LX trim.
Keep looking.
Get the 300...

Deal has been done! I took the 2.5. The power of the 300 would have been nice but the deal I got on the 2.5 was very good. The dealer principle wanted the Jimny for himself and is the reason for the higher trade-in value.
The bakkie looks VERY good. It actually looks new. Drives really well, has WAY more power than the Jimny...
I like what I got.
Thank you for the advice that was given freely even though I didn't take it. I looked for and found other vehicles but all of them in worse condition or way more expensive or from dodgy looking dealers.

Before it was replaced by the 1.9 Ddi Isuzu UK only offered the 2.5 and only in twin turbo.
120kW & 360Nm if I recall.
Enjoy the 2.5, just keep weight down and it will perform adequately...
