Little box or container with assorted bolts, nuts , washers , screws and electrical lugs and ferrules. I have such a box that travels along. Have saved the day for many of my co travelers.

Crips,
I think its best to think of kitting out in terms of
Sets rather than specific items:
eg Coms Set would include VHF radios, cell phones and satphones with their supporting cords chargers etc
eg Tea Bag/Set would include coffee, tea milksugar, sugar, biscuits etc etcfor in car sustainance
eg Tyre Care/Puncture Set as I covered a while back
spares set
tool set
Fire/Cooking Set
Recovery Box/Set
First Aid Kit
Non-perishable food box
Cooler (semi-perishables)
Fridge Freezer as a set
Optical Equip : Cameras, Binos
etc etc
and each set would ordinarily have its own designated container w list of specifics belonging in them ...
just a suggestion .
