Do we need a 'Builds & Restorations' Section?

#1

Post by Mad Manny »

Guys like Reenen, Apoc, Grips &, of course, Rudi Hinze do great builds.
Other guys may do smaller restorations or upgrades.

I know guys like Thys & Grips are fanatical followers of Build's & many others, like me, love following a build.

Is there any value in dedicated "Builds & Restorations" section?

I think its the way to go. We need more order
through natural sections ... some threads live a short life and then just drop out of focus and discussion - even if they are good ones.
Having focussed sections makes threads easier to find, follow and comment on... will keep them alive , as appropriate.
Builds & Restorations
Overlanding
Trip Reports and Aspects
etc
as appropriate wrt our members interests
and main recogniseable thread sections.

I love Build and Restore threads,
While I mostly do “Keep it together” jobs myself :)
Yes, go for it.

Tell us honestly, how much has that POS R4500 trailer cost you in total to date?

I see the section is up and running - good idea.

Can the mods please move the current resto and build threads to that section?

I will move full blown build Threads to the new section, but it's a major schlepp to do.

Rudi's "Fyn Brag" Thread can stay where it is & he can start a dedicated Thread in the new section...
