Obsolete Window

They smashed my Hilux's passenger window in early hours this morning.

Toyota discontinued the window, but they have asked for a sample.

Salesman laughed when I said I'll drop the bag of glass tomorrow as the sample.

Have you ever had something like this happen to you where parts has been discontinued?

Craig, what year model is your Isuzu?

The pre-facelift has the standard Yank Spec headlight size - available in sealed or semi-sealed beam configuration. Dirt cheap at Midas, etc. Every manufacturer used them at some stage - from the Mk I Escort, Capri, Austin Apache, Hillman, Nissan, Hilux, Jeep (YJ), and and and.

I think the Nissan 1400 Champ was probably the last one which had them as standard locally.

Window is being fixed today. At a total sum of R0.

Fixed at my parents' place. It found a locked up garage to rest in.

The guy that does all my dad's truck windows is supplying a window. Truck repair centre, so he gets a lot of business from him.

He ordered the window at 09:00 and it was in stock

Also Drama Queenery as these headlights are, in fact, in stock at Isuzu Parts Distribution centre...

Maybe we should edit the Thread title to read "Hugs needed in a Safe Space"....
