If you have R350k odd & want a Double Cab 4x4 you can choose between:

A Nissan Hardbody Death Trap 2.5TDi Double Cab 4x4 with 30 year old tech & Zero safety...
Not sure it has any traction aids, maybe Difflock.

or...

A Mahindra S10 Double Cab 4x4, has a few features, but nothing much in the way of traction aids.

or... If you act FAST

A Ford Ranger Double Cab 2.2 XL 4x4 6 Speed Auto.
It has a raft of traction aids & safety features.

Clearly Ford is running a 'run-out' special before the new 2.0 Turbo (which sensibly has a spare turbo - 'cos we know how Fords like to blow turbo's)...

Other than a few Fire Extinguishers & decent in car entertainment, that Ford XL doesn't lack much.
It's a great special - I'm sure Nissan & Mahindra salesmen can't wait for it to end...

Pity it's a Ford, but on paper it does look like a good deal.

What is this nonsense about the HB being a death trap?

Buy a NP300 and die like a real man.

Manny, you’ve just described your Tuna. But unlike the Tuna, at least they crash tested the NP300.
