Unfortunately it's been a bit of a rough year, and recreational 4x4ing has been non existent. Even the Power wagon is standing awaiting the finishing of the house.

We have done quite a lot of fun work stuff but alas, we cannot mention it as it's all still under NDA....

So anyway, I'll just hang out in the off topic area.

Last night we went to Giovannis for supper - superb Italian restaurant in Wateerstone mall. As it's in a mall we don't go often but it was baby angel's birthday and she chose.

If you do get there you HAVE to have the marrow bone and snails starter... delicious!

anyway, I saw that on the menu was a pizza named after non other than our very own Manuel!

Obviously , I had to have the 'Manny's pizza' - it would just be wrong not to.

anyway, it's Gorgonzola , Chorizo, onion and chilli which seems like a good enough combination.

Their ingredients are top notch I must say.

it had a bit of a kick just like our very own Manny, certainly not for the faint hearted. It had a small amount of thin soft sausage on it, and well, it came first, before anyone else got anything.

From what Tammy tells me, it's the perfect name for such a pizza!

All jokes aside, the food is amazing and really really top quality, well worth a visit if you are in the area!

I really would have expected you to have given a review of a Seapoint Pizza restaurant.

From pizza to a person.
In 1980 I was stationed at the Ovambo(101) battalion HQ just outside Ondangwa.
In the early evening a woman arrived at the gates in obvious labor. Since we could not travel at night and there was no way a chopper would be sent out I knew that it would be my job to deliver the baby. The woman was brought into the camp and put up in her own tent. Since this was her 6th or 7th child she was more experienced than me. I left a medic with her and she was told to let him know when she was ready to push. I was duly called at about 2 in the morning and the child was delivered safely. The following morning mother and well child were delivered to a close by Lutheran hospital where the staff were distinctly unhappy to see us.

A few days later our OC received a call from the magistrate of Ondangwa wanting to know what his troops were up to. The mother had named the child Sarel (medic) Freinkel (me)!

So somewhere in Ovamboland is a 38 year old man carrying my name. Don't know if an additional surname was added.

Getting back on topic of names and getting back to vehicles...

Isuzu SA has finally decided to align our bakkie with the rest of the world naming policy.

The KB will be called the D-Max from 1 November 2018
