I drove to BreedtsNek to go get the cobwebs of a noisy old years eve out of my head.. Parked the Landy and got out to climb up a nearby hill for a better view.
While I climbed I heard a crash, looked back and saw nothing... Climbed a bit more and realized there should have been something..
The insurance investigated, (Thoroughly I might add, as they were not happy with me claiming that the handbrake failed) and found the handbrake was still up in the photos taken by the recovery guy, and then found that oil had entered the handbrake drum on the driveshaft.
I should have left it in gear though - always do... now

Crap one.... Know the feeling.
Had a similar thing happen with a work 4x4 in moz. Luckily only went nose first down a dune and stopped against a huge leadwood.
After that always put it in gear when parked.

Billy Bob... Like a scruffy dog..
Loved it.
Was fantastic off-road with no difflocks.
I eventually installed a front locker and it got boring.
